Starting this week, our Tyneside Developments team broke ground on site at The Ropes, our latest new building project bringing much-needed homes to Ouseburn in Newcastle.

This stunning development of 4-storey terraced townhouses on St Lawrence Road has been thoughtfully designed by the teams at Edwards Architecture and JC Consulting. An emphasis has been placed on light, space and the fantastic views along the River Tyne.

The luxury three bedroom homes will feature full height windows to the rear, allowing for plenty of natural light, with balconies at the ground and second floor level.

The seven finished homes will be perfect for families looking for modern city living, ideally located just minutes from the city centre and within view of Newcastle’s vibrant quayside.

We will be constructing the properties using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and look forward to working with SIPS@Clays, who are experts in this field. This methodology is a more sustainable approach to construction and will assist in making these new homes compliant with the recent changes to Part L of Building Control Regulations.

As with all new builds, the completed houses will each include an electric car charging point, as well as an integrated car lift to double the capacity of the garages. We’re very excited that this project is now underway and we look forward to bringing you further updates as the work progresses.
